Pullenvale Garage

Located in semi-rural Pullenvale, outer Brisbane, this Garage is an extension to the existing Mediterranean inspired homestead. Architecturally, the design takes it materiality from traditional quality elements of the style and incorporates modern construction to provide a distinctive outcome.

The project involved a new property access and Driveway, strategically curved into the contoured land; and integrated with a new trellised pedestrian entry linking the existing home. The master-planned approach ties all elements existing on site into a unified whole.

Part museum and part garage, the supercars are displayed in a suitably high-quality shed that nods deferentially to the rural setting. The vented Terracotta tile roof is sculpturally supported by steel and hardwood composite trusses that express the span and give the built form a volume reminiscent of farm stable construction. Beautifully engineered, counter-weight doors are glazed to best display the beauty of the vehicles being garaged.
